Hot Dog Costume


TOOLS
Cutting Machine (recommended)
Sewing Machine
High-Temp Hot Glue Gun
Scissors
Sewing Needle
Ruler

MATERIALS
Felt – Benzie Design “Seaside”, “Lucky Penny”, “Red”, “Golden”, and “Linen”
Thread – Gutermann Sew-All Thread “Beige”, “Chili Brown”
Poly-fil – 20 ounce
Velcro – VELCRO Brand 0.63”x 30” Sew-On Tape

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Gather tools and materials.
2. Cut felt according to template notes using scissors or the Cricut Maker.
3. Place two felt loop pieces 4” apart and sew the sides to attach to the bun.
4. Attach sesame seeds on the opposite side of bun using hot glue.
5. Right sides together, sew both pieces at 1/2” seam allowance and leave a 4“
opening at the bottom, clip at the corners to ease any bulk.
6. Turn bun right side out and stuff with poly-fil.
7. Sew opening closed using needle and thread.
8. Attach 2” piece of velcro to both ends of strap on reverse sides using hot glue
9. Make 1/2” accordion folds, pinch one side and sew closed to create knot
looking ends for hot dog.
10. Sew the knot piece to both ends of hot dog.
11. Attach ketchup and mustard in the center using hot glue.
12. Align straps onto back of hot dog according to the loop placement on bun,
attach using hot glue.
13. Place hot dog between buns and put straps through the loops.
14. Attach neck strap using hot glue.
