Activity 2. Explanation
Choose an item that best describes ancient civilization. Justify your answer in five (5) sentences.
Cave
Answer: Early humans choose to stay in natural caves because they provided shelter from the rain, heat
and wind. The stable temperatures of caves provided a cool habitat in summers and a warm, dry shelter in
the winter. Caves are ancient and often beautiful places. Images painted, drawn or carved onto rocks and
cave walls—which have been found across the globe—reflect one of human’s earliest forms of
communication, with possible connections to language development. Caves are really useful for early
humans not because of using it as a shelter but to make arts that became helpful when the new generation
came, it helps how and what people are living in the ancient era.
