Why do we need sleep?

Sleep is an essential process that allows the human body and mind to
recharge. A good sleep also helps the body remain healthy and avoid diseases. Without enough

decreased in sleep hours will affect the person's desire to exercise and maintain a healthy
lifestyle. Getting enough sleep without any disruption can also reduce the risk of heart disease.

Moreover, sleeping helps strengthen the human immune system and prevent depression. The
association between sleep and mental health has been proven. Many studies have shown that
sleep deprivation may result in depression and impact human emotional stability. Therefore,
sleep helps the physical body repair and recover. The recovery process also happens to the
immune system. When people don’t have enough sleep, they are more vulnerable and easy to
get sick.
