1. What does it mean being blessed? Do you consider yourself blessed?
- To be blessed to me means to be provided with the necessary blessings in life like everyday needs, desires, and fulfilled wishes. I consider myself blessed because I live a proper and healthy life. My needs are provided and I can eat my meals. I have my family and friends that are ready to help me. 2. Do you share your blessings? How? When? - I do share my blessings. Whenever I have more than what I need or whenever I see someone less fortunate than I am and need what I have more than I do. 3. Which of these beatitudes are uncomfortable for you, and call into question your own experiences (personal and societal) following faithfully in the way of Jesus in the present-day realities? - For me it might be the beatitude “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Personally, because those who thirst for righteousness are the first ones to be criticized. As someone who became a part of an organization with the goal of implementing righteousness and enforcing rules, I have experienced being ostracized. Societal, it’s just the same, the public, the society will have different views on your ideals and begin to spread rumors.
