Just like what American author Suzanne Collins said, “Live your life, take chances,

be crazy. Don’t wait. Because right now is the oldest you’ve ever been and the
youngest you’ll ever be again”. If you’re still hesitant and anxious to go out of
your little birdcage, then let me put you into a situation. What if you only had one
month to live? Will it make you value life even more? What will you do?
Personally, here’s mine.
One thing is for sure, I want to chase after buried dreams and uncover things I’ve
always wanted to do that were washed away by insecurities and stereotypes. I
want to savor every moment in my life-no regrets, no second thoughts, only “so
be its” and “go for its”. Make new memories that I can remember even in another
lifetime. Make an impression that even when my time has come, people will still
remember and talk about the life I lived. Second, live with humility and gratitude
flowing through my veins- forgive everyone who has done me wrong, forgive
myself for taking detours and all the self-doubts, thank everyone who has always
been there through thick and thin, and thank myself for being strong amidst the
storm. Lastly, I want to spend my last days surrounded by everyone that I love. I
can rest happily and at peace knowing that all my favorite people in this world are
in one room.
When you fully realize you do not have the luxury of time to spend your life and
wait for the appropriate moment to accomplish things, it might be frightening and
stressful, but it can also change your view on life completely. It can open your
eyes to the life you have always desired. It may encourage you to take the initial
steps towards living the life of your dreams. Now, it’s your turn. In your own point
of view, what would you do if you only had one month to live?
