achieving the aim (how successful were you) +ive and –ive We interviewed elderly people of happy homes and discussed about the problems they faced. Some were not ready to tell anything about themselves. If we could make them feel carefree and discussed their problems and built a social bound with them, then they could feel comfortable.
We collected funds for them to fulfill their daily needs.
It was not possible to individually donate them money; people had to buy medicines on their own with no source of earning. If we could convince the incharge to fulfill their medicinal needs then they won’t have any issue.
It was successful as we collected funds in a huge
amount and people were happy to have someone to care and visit them. Some people didn’t want to discuss anything and about themselves which caused a serious problem for us to get any proofs or pictures. If they had cooperated with us then it might have been easy to fulfill the requirements of our project.
→ Strengths and limitations of ‘own work
processes’ I spread awareness to students of our project and the event held in school. Being an introvert, it was quite difficult to communicate to people you didn’t know, still l tried as much as I could to be social. It could have gone better if I had overcome my social phobia and communicated well with the participants.
Making posters took so long and was quite tiring. It
took us 3-4 days to just complete the posters. There were many other responsibility to fulfill and the rest were busy in preparation of mid-terms. If our friends took some time and helped us then if could have been easier. On the event, had to setup everything in the morning and bought food items as well. We worked tirelessly to give each group change and keep the funds safe. I also had to sell the food items, give the participants the change, and run to deliver food. If the place became less crowded and every class got enough time then things could have been under control, otherwise the students were creating such a fuss that things were getting unmanageable.
