Courts Vs PPP
President Asif Zardari has said that the courts have never
imparted justice to PPP. What he has said is not untrue! I
want to tell a gory tail of injustice to Mr. Asif Zardari by
the courts including the apex court where the present
Chief Justice was one of those judges who failed to give
him justice. It is the same SGS case which had been sent
for retrial by a full bench of Supreme Court in 2001. I am
hereby reproducing the verdict of the Supreme Court. The
case was picked by TRANSPARENCY
INTERNATIONAL as an example of JUDICIAL
CORRUPTION in a document “Cases and Materials
Relating to Corruption Issue 3 – May 2003”.

Short Order
iii) That the contract was awarded for the reason that M/s
SGS had, on11th March, 1994, promised to pay 6% (six
percent) of the fee received by it to Bomer Finance Inc.
Bomer Finance was a company wholly and beneficially
owned by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari;
Evidence
“We will find some solution” “Find some short cut now to
bypass things” “I am trying my best”.
Qayyum J. “No”.
viii) That the learned counsel for the appellants had the
knowledge of appointment of the Commission
throughout, therefore, non-issuance of notice of
proceedings in the Chambers of Judge Daniel Devaud
couldnot be blown out of proportion.
xi) That the short order was no doubt silent about the
necklace but in the detailed order the confiscation of the
necklace did figure with the explanation that the necklace
was ordered to be forfeited in lieu of non paymentof the
fine of U.S $ 8.6 million.

28. The order with regard to the freezing of properties and
assets etc. of the appellants was passed on 27th April,
1998 while on 30th April, 1998, the Prime Minister
approved the grant of diplomatic passports to the learned
Judge and his wife ignoring the formidable objection
raised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was candidly
conceded by the learned Attorney General for Pakistan
that no Judge of the Superior Courts is entitled to grant of
a diplomatic passport except the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
