Mobile phones are a great way to supplement lessons with digital materials, to

enable students to access information online or make use of educational

platforms. Despite their values, I think that high school students shouldn’t be
allowed to use smartphones during the lesson. First, The potential for cheating
showcases one of the most notable disadvantages of allowing mobile devices
in the classroom. While teachers can take steps to confiscate phones during
exams or frequently check students as they take tests, there's still the chance
students can use the devices to cheat. Students can surreptitiously search for
test answers on their phones, or even network with other students who have
answers. Secondly,  The single biggest disadvantage of smartphones is that
they distract students from their work or lectures. When students have phones
at hand, the temptation to switch over to something more interesting can be
overwhelming and irresistible. This splitting of attention can cause students to
miss out on important information taught in lessons as well as frustrate
teachers who can't get students to pay attention in class. However, there are
various benefits and effects when technology is used for educational
instruction and some may argue that not all of the effects are negative. Using
smartphones in the classroom creates learners who are actively engaged with
learning objectives in case smartphones are integrated into the classroom with
supervision. In conclusion, As a high school student, I realize that the cons of
using smartphones in the classroom outweigh the pros but It can be denied
smartphones advantage in education. Thus, We should use them effectively.
