The printing and distribution of textbooks have been a topic of public concern

in current times. The Ministry of Education is going to apply the use of

various sets of textbooks for primary and secondary education levels
nationwide. As a student of secondary high school, I only agree with some
aspects of this change.
The new textbook is believed to solve the heaviness of the curriculum.
Various textbook is a hopeful solution os the ministry of education to Keep
the right balance between breadth of learning areas and depth of content
knowledge. Teachers can choose the suitable ones for their students.
Moreover, the imbalance between academic knowledge and character
development is also a serious problem has to face. A greater emphasis needs
to be placed on character education, or education that nurtures and promotes a
student’s ethical, social, and emotional development as well as their
intellectual growth. Thus, a new textbook is punished to provide students with
the most realistic and comprehensive view.
However, applying the use of various sets of textbooks nationwide is difficult
because not all parents have enough money to buy new textbooks at a high
cost, and Some areas with poor education are not equipped with teaching
knowledge.
In conclusion, I don’t have the opportunity to access new teaching with
various textbooks but I realize the drawbacks of the current study program.
Therefore, Apart from high cost, widespread popularity, etc, I believe that
new curricula and textbooks will bring students a lot of value, both in terms of
academics and soft skills.
