In Asturias we can find many different scientists like Margarita Salas or
Severo Ochoa who had discovered many different that changed our lives.
Both of them have discovered interesting things in our DNA but right now
I am going to talk about leukaemia.
This discovery was one of the most
discoveries of 2020 and it was
discovered by scientists of the
university of Oviedo. It was a new
opportunity in the treatment of chronic
lymphatic leukemia, because they
discovered new genes involved in the most common blood tumor so they
can find if you have the disease as fast as they can to apply you the
treatment.
This affect our lives because if we suffer from leukemia we will have a
treatment for this disease. What they created is way to find is you are
suffering this disease faster than they were doing so could have your
treatment before so you have more possibilities to win the battle against
cancer.
I I hadn’t heard this news
and I think this one of the
best Asturian discoveries
and this made a huge
progress evolution on the
branch of cancer. Thanks to
scientists, every time we
have more knowledge of
this type of disease, this
increase life expectancy.
