let me introduce myself I am ceejay maceda a reporter from the group 1, today I AM going to discuss to
you Lesson 5.1 which entitled the study of life. So the Main idea of this lesson is all about Biology that
deals with structures, functions, and relationships of organisms with their environment.

So what is biology?

Biology is a branch of natural science that studies life and living organisms. Modern biology is a wide
and diverse area that studies the structure, function, growth, distribution, evolution, and other
characteristics of living organisms through a variety of specialized disciplines.

po class is yung plants, animals, tayo, MGA CELLS AT IBA PA pero in modern biology hindi lang plants,
animals at tao ang pinag aaralan, pinag aaralan din nila kung pano mag evolve, lumaki ano yung mga
changes nung living things at iba pa kumbaga mas pinalawak nila yung knowledge natin about sa living
things or biology. KUMBAGA MARAMI PA TAYO DI NA DIDISKOBRE KASI HABANG TUMATAGAL
NAGBABAGO, NAG EEVOLVE marami pang changes YUNG MGA LIVING THINGS KAYA MARAMI PA TAYO

Biology means “study of life”. It comes from two greek words, bios meaning “life” and
logos meaning “reason or study”. (EXPLAIN)

There are three major divisions of the biological sciences:

 Microbiology (study of microorganisms)

IT IS THE branch of science that deals with microorganisms.
