The privacy of the individual is being invaded more than ever. Film stars, models and
politicians are contemporarily stalked and hounded by paparazzi in order to fulfil extravagant
whims of the gossip columnists. Therefore, measures must be taken so as to overcome the
unwarranted interference into people’s lives.

One possible way to overcome the problem of invaded privacy is the diminution of
published information, which not as ludicrous as it might seem. In this day and age, more and
more influencers decide to leave a significant part of their life for themselves. One of them is
Lena Khalid, who shares on her social media nearly every aspect of her life – except her
outward appearance. If it were to happen widely, achievement of popularity would still be
attainable without the risk of being recognisable.

If the plainest possibility is not impracticable, another way to solve the problem of
intrusive photographers is a legal acting. Governments should focus their attention on
reducing the impact of photojournalists on celebrities. The first steps towards it have already
been made by the local government in California, which has passed the first law against
paparazzi. If measures were taken to tighten the rules, superstars’ serenity would significantly
increase.

An alternative way to deal with the issue of being stalked is to appear uninteresting.
Wearing the same hairstyle, makeup and outfit while leaving the house or publishing in social
media, may decrease the coverage. Hence it would look as if the press reporters were re-
publishing the same, old photos.

Last but not least, not only governments and celebrities themselves are responsible for
the situation but also common people, who provide a demand for piquant news. Lowering the
demand by focusing on your own life can have a positive effect on both – celebrities comfort
and people’s mental health.

To sum up, there are several measures which could be taken to improve the quality of
celebrities’ lives. If governments, common people and influencers alike were to help, it
would prevent unwarranted intrusions into private lives.
