Portuguese gastronomy is related to the Mediterranean cuisine, where bread, wine and oil are
the main ingredients. In addition to pork, sausages and fresh fish.
The complete Portuguese meal includes a soup, a main course and a sweet dessert.
1. Açorda à alentejana is a very popular soup originating from Alentejo. It is made with
sliced stale bread, garlic, abundant coriander and olive oil, coriander, aromatic herbs.
Poached eggs, sardines or cod can also be added.
2. The migas alentejana, originally from Alentejo. It is composed mainly of bread, pork
meat which is fried with bacon, ribs and lean meat.
4. Feijoada, depending on the region of Portugal, is made of white or red beans, any kind
of pork meat, chorizo and can be accompanied by vegetables, tomato, carrots and rice.
