When conducting a double bind study, how do the experimenters keep the anonymity of the

treatment when preparing the real drug and placebo before administering it to the participants? Also,
the experiment of Watson on Little Albert reminded me about the ethical dilemma in Trolley Problem.

Psycho dynamic
-- past experiences

The preference of teacher/professor for textbook definition over the simplified explanation by the
main character can be rooted from his past experiences as a student. The way he teach is based on
what he saw and experienced under his teachers with similar teaching method.

Cognitive

The way by which the main character and the student who provide a satisfactory explanation learn
differ from one another. The main character process information by learning the core concepts first
and making meaningful connections in real life scenarios while other student learn by memorizing
the information in the textbook.

Behavioral
- conditions people

The way the professor praise the student and reprimand the main character reinforces his standard of
an ‘ideal’ student among the students. This also conditions them into thinking that they will be
humiliated if they act like the main character.

Conditions the other

Biological and evolutionary

When the professor reprimand and told the main character to get out of his class, he was asserting his
dominance and authority over his class. This assertion of dominance can be adaptive trait of humans
to survive.

Humanistic
When the main character provides a counter example to prove his point at the end, the professor
reacted as if he realized the flaws on his own set of standards which make him reconsider views in
teaching.
