MX2 – Constant Distance Stop From Any Frequency
(By Ramp Change)
1. Introduction
With this software we want to achieve constant stopping distance independently of the running
frequency. So is not necessary to change the position of the sensor when speed is modified.
For this the slowdown slope is changed by a calculated amount.
The deceleration slope will be based in the area corresponding to the deceleration from the maximum
frequency. The stopping area will be the same at any frequency. The time will be bigger at smaller
frequency because the deceleration ramp will be longer.
Drive programming allows to achieve and modify quite easily the ramp to achieve this function.
Parameters Function
P104 The slowdown slope estimated from the maximum frequency.
This parameters are used for the calculation and F003 is changed according to the distance that
should be cover.

The new multifunction input 56 is created to give the run and stop command that allows to stop with
constant speed.

For startup only is necessary to set one of the digital input to 56 and start the Drive program by
parameter or by a digital input
