I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lessons the students will be able to:
● identify hazards and risks;
● perform various scenarios showing hazards through differentiated tasks (slogan, memes, illustration
and hugot lines);
● value and understand the importance of occupational health and safety in life situations.
Time to Watch!
B. Analysis The teacher will let the students watch a video clip which emphasizes the
difference between hazards and risks.
Questions:
1. What was the video all about?
2. What do you mean by OHS or Occupational Health Safety?
C. Abstraction (The teacher will post scattered various pictures which could be connected
to one of the hazards. The students have to arrange those pictures in the
gigantic map according to the hazards which are being asked. The
students will be guided by the hazards that would be coming from
Doraemon’s pocket. When the music stops, the student holding Dora will
be the one to answer. After the students have answered all the hazards,
Dora will now be able to go to the salon.)
Electrical Hazards are common accidents in the workplace that can result
from contact with faulty electrical equipment that may have become “live”
or from contact with worn or damaged power cords and switches, the
presence of water in the salon increases the risk of electrocution or injury.
Nail polish, Callus remover and acetone. Chemical hazard causes skin
irritations and respiratory problems
Slips, trips and falls are common occurrences in workplaces. People slip

hazards and risks.
D. Application Group 2 – The students will illustrate a scenario showing the ways on how
to avoid electrical hazards and risks.
Group 3 –The students will create educational memes on how to avoid fire
through the pictures provided by the teacher.
Group 4 – The students will construct a “hugot” line on how to avoid
biological hazards.
E. Assessment
Choose Your Bet!
