Lesson Plan in Kindergarten

I. Objectives

a. Identify one’s basic body parts.( PNERBS-ld-1)


b. Demonstrate/ Imitate some movements using some parts of
the body .(PNERBS-lc-3)
c. Tell the use of each basic body parts.( PNERBS-ld-2)

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Identify one’s basic body parts and it’s uses.
Value Integration: CLEANLINESS/ CAREFULNESS

Learning Competencies:
1. Identifying one’s body parts.
2. Telling the use/function of each basic body parts.

Reference: Kindergarten Teacher’s Guide Vol.1 Week 7 pp.83-91


Materials: powerpoint, ,flash cards, worksheets

Integration to other subjects:


a.Music- singing the song “ My Toes ,My Knees” (Ilokano version)
b.Math- Telling how many basic body parts they have. Ex eyes- 2)
c.English and Filipino- Bridging L1, L2 and L3 ex. nose - ilong

III.Procedure/ Blocks of Time

A. Preliminary Activities
a. Daily Routine
- Checking of attendance
- Weather Condition

Counting Numbers 1- 10 through the use of flash cards

Who among you can show to us the following facial expressions?
Happy, sad, angry……

B. Meeting Time 1/ Lesson Proper


1. Motivation
- Singing the song “ My Toes…” Ilokano version ( Integration to Music)
Ask: Children, What is all about the song?
What are the different body parts mentioned in the song?

2. Presentation/ Discussion
- Teacher shows picture of body parts through a power point presentation.

-Let pupils repeat the name of a body part in Filipino to


English
Example: agong- ilong – nose ( Integration to English and Filipino –
Bridging L1,L2 and L3 )
- Teacher asks how many nose/ eyes/ears/hands/fingers and feet they
have?( Integration to Mathematics)
- Teacher asks the use/function of each basic body parts.
- Call somebody to imitate some movements of some basic body parts.

- Teacher encourages children to join activities that makes pupils realize


the importance of their basic body parts

Ex. walking while blind folded


Eating apple

Ask : From the activities that we have, is it easy for us to work or move if
one of our body parts are missing or not functioning well ?
Why ? ( HOTS )
Do you know some reasons why some of our basic body parts are
missing or not working well? ( HOTS)

Value Integration :What should we do so that our basic body parts will
always be complete or will work well?
How are we going to take care our basic body
parts ? ( HOTS )

3.Work Period 1
. Connect a line to the body part to its function.
. Put a check on the body part used in the picture.
4. Generalization
Teacher ask what are the different basic parts of the body?
What are the functions of each basic parts?

IV. Evaluation/Independent Activity

a. Cut the pictures of body parts below and paste it in the correct usage of the
body part.

b. Cut pictures that you most like to do and paste it on a coupon bond,

V.Assignment
Cut the pictures and paste it on a coupon bond and be ready to imitate the
movements.Picture yourself and send it to our group chat.
