End of Sales, Engineering, and Life for the Cisco uBR924 Cable
Access Router

Cisco Systems, Inc. is announcing the end of sales (EOS), end of engineering (EOE), and
end of life (EOL) of the Cisco uBR924 Cable Access Router. The EOS is effective August
1, 2001. Cisco will continue to support Cisco uBR924 software for a period of two
years, ending on August 1, 2003, and Cisco uBR924 hardware for the period of five
years, ending on August 1, 2006. Milestone dates are listed in Table 1.

The last Cisco uBR924 software release is Cisco IOS Release 12.2(1a). Only the software images listed in Table
2 for the Cisco uBR924 will be supported on an ongoing basis.

services 2001 with FCS scheduled for the end of July.
The Cisco uBR925 adds hardware
acceleration for IPSec and offers a USB port.

Availability
The Cisco uBR924 orderability will be closed on August 1, 2001. Replacement products and alternate software
images listed above are available and orderable.
