This standard is not preserved ‘+ The standard can be stored at room temperature. ‘+ This product is intended to be used as a quality control check of the entire analytical process for the analytes/matrix included in the standard. ‘ERA suggests that when subsampling this product prior to analysis you use a minimum sample size of at least 10 mL. Using a smaller sample size may invalidate the assigned value and/or uncertainty shown on the certificate of analysis. ‘+ Repeated sampling of this product is permitted, provided minimum sample sizes and storage instructions are adhered to. ‘+ The certified values apply to the sample after following the stated instructions. Helpful Hints: ‘+ This standard has been prepared as a whole volume standard and is ready to be analyzed as received. ‘+ This standard contains no acid, so you must follow your normal procedures for checking, and if necessary, adjusting the pH. * Ifyou are analyzing anions by ion selective electrode methods, please note that this sample may contain high concentrations of inorganic salts, which can interfere with ISE methods. Appropriate corrective steps to minimize possible interferences may be found listed in the published analytical method(s) or your instrument ‘manufacturer's instruction manual. © Ifyou are analyzing potassium and/or sodium by ICP, ERA recommends matching the matrix of your calibration standard(s) by adding an appropriate amount and type of acid to an aliquot of the Inorganics standard prior to analysis. * Alkalinity should be analyzed immediately after the bottle has been opened. Titrate to a pH of 4.50 s.u. for alkalinity. Instruction: 1, Shake the Inorganics bottle well prior to opening. 2. Remove aliquots for the tests that you are performing and analyze by your normal procedures. 3. Tightly recap the bottle after each use. Safety: ERA products may be hazardous and are intended for use by professional laboratory personnel trained in the competent handling of such materials. Responsibility for the safe use of these products rests entirely with the buyer and/or user.
