Ninhydrin Test

Obtain a Distilled water,

Glutamine, Tyrosine, Valine,
Proline and Cysteine.

Label the test tubes from A-F. Place the

following samples

Place 1 ml of each of the solutions in a test

tube

add few drops of ninhydrin solution.

Boil the mixture over a water bath for 2

min.

. Allow to cool and observe

Record the results

Dispose properly the solutions and rinse all the

materials used.
