Create and modify multilines


In this exercise you will create a new multiline
style that has multiple elements, colors, fills,
and linetypes to simulate a roadway exhibit.

You will then use the newly created style to


create a multiline.

Learning objectives:

The new multiline style

1. Open the Mlines.dwg file, as shown in


Figure 1.

2. Ensure that C-ROAD-LINE is the current
layer, as shown in Figure 2.

3. Open the multiline style dialog. Create


a new multiline style. Call the new style
ROADWAY. Give the new style a
description of For Roadway Exhibits.

4. Use color 253 for the fill color. Create
two outside segments that are solid
lines at a total width of 12 feet and add
a dashed line that runs down the
middle of the style.

Use the Dashed X2 linetype and color


yellow for the middle element and use
Bylayer for color and linetype of both
outside elements, as shown in Figure 4.

5. Create a multiline of approximately 100


feet using the new style, as shown in
Figure 5.
