ABSTRACT

One of the big challenges in this world is to carry out the natural gas process to be chemical
product. Natural gas is cheaper than crude oil on processes to be an alternative energy. Based
on data from Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, natural gas has proven on 2014 for
about 100.3 TCF and it will stand out until 34 years later.

Natural gas has many component such as ethane, methane, propane, etc. That’s gas could
processed to be an chemical product such as Ethylene. Actually, Indonesia still import
Ethylene to fullfill the petrochemical needs. It can assumed that Indonesia still need a lot of
ethylene. One of solution for this problem is producing ethylene from natural gas. The
process that will be used is Oxidating Coupling Methane (OCM). Masukkan kelebihan OCM
OCM will operated at …… with solid catalyst. The catalyst that used in this process is
Li/MgO with concentration ..... %. By using this catalyst, the selectivity of ethylene will
