Rather a difficult question for one to answer. The race for human existence has become so much intensified in modern days that at places hunian brain has far surpassed its potential scope and is driving deep to have a peep into eternity. Money has become the main axle on which modern civilization revolves, Natur- ally, therefore, human happiness has become syno- nymous with the acquisition of wealth which, at one time, philosophers were inclined to discard with disdain. : SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST: was the theory | propounded by Darwin the great author and Philo- sopher and with these words he created a human race between all kinds of men to prove to the world who was Je ‘fittest’. It goes on without limita- tions of the time_and space. It goes on eternally and yet the fittest has to be- found. That has been the curse of humanity, one eternal riddle which sages of old have failed to solve. Modern civilization has justified the chase for money as natural phenomenon, Every human being from the time of its birth to its last days has to de- pend for his growth and comforts on the acquisi- tion of wealth. People, who have made riches the passion of their life, have very often come to grief, and having reached the limit of their avarice, have happiness an illusive quantity, The mean between the Prince of Beggars and Croesus of Wealth, is the possession of modern wealth which — ee! However, the author of this book has at last sue- ceeded to find out a way, small and little though it be, to attain at least partially, or to some extent, a part of the human goal. An attempt has been made to place before the students of Numerolo a concise and simple system by which they will be — able to probe into the mysteries of the Turf. Horary Numerology is based on the rotary movements of the Seven main planets. How and in what manner they move from race to race has been explained in a very simple language. There are no elaborate calculations and casting of time horoscopes like many other systems. The results based on the re- searches and observations, extending over a quarter of a century, are placed before the students, This system makes a departure from the conventional and orthodox principles of planeta b ty control over numbers. Thousands are ruined with atal regularity, but the ruin is not so much due to any inherent evil in Racing. It is entirely due to ignorance of the masses. There are people who, with the Snebicn of knowledge, have made rac- ing an actually paying proposition. There is no evil m racing. It is as good a business as any other, and requires as much research, perseverance and method as any other business. Likewise in racing also we find a lot of hypocrisy. There are those who would sell you charms of success. There are others who would give you ‘Dark Flukes’ while there is still another class who would tip you ‘Jockey Snaps’ and ‘Stable information’. That is all humbug as you know it. As in any other trade, racing has also its own divine and mystic influence which mysteriously con- trols the happenings on the Race Course, There is nothing in life which cannot be attributed to cause and action. So is with ogee It is revealed to few and understood by fewer still. Let it therefore be .m- pressed on your mind that we have seven main planets controlling the whole numerological orcer. If you will read again the allotment of numbers to the varicus planets, which are really the num- bers of the zodiacal signs, you will notice that we have given the same numbers of the positions of the zodiacal signs to all the planets. Students of astrology may not agree with this assignment o! numbers, Our only excuse in departing from ‘he accepted principles is that the results with this allot- ment are more glaring and astounding to a marvel- lous degree. The only authority on this subject of allotment of numbers to planets is John Heyden, He has m:de revelations in his book “Holy Guide” on this sub- ject. We have full respect for this book and its contents, but we wanted to create a new vision, a new angle from which we could observe the in ier working of Nature. We again offer our excuse 12 departing from this accepted principle, In our Opl- vioa, (O) plays a very important part in any Sp! in which the science of Horary Numerology is ap- plied. Our researches have conclusively proved that this fotal number is controlled by the planet Saturn, since it controls the 10th sign of the Zodiac. So also fupiter whose basic number is 9 will have 39 as its higher number, Half of 39 is 19%, half of this is 9%, i.e. 9. The significance of each planet with its higuer numbers and the part it plays is fully explained in subsequent chapters. | But remember Venus which has basic nuraber 2 will not come under this method, as its double in- fluence will be 4 which is under Moon. Its quaaru- ple number is 8 which is the basic number of Mars. The double influence of Mars 1 will‘not be 2 or its quadruple influence 4 as both these numbers ccme under Venus and Moon respectively. The double influence of Mercury 3 is 6 which comes unde: it ‘as its basic number. | ~ Let it, therefore, be impressed upon your mind | : that the numbers as set forth above are the cor-» rect ones in their order, and without being afraid. of the long array, you should proceed cautiously to learn the significance of each planet and the intrin- , sic value of its numbers. What is the linked number of Saturn 11? How are higher numbers of planets determined? Name the planet which is merged in Saturn CHAPTER II HORSES AND THEIR RUNNING NUMBERS You have by now learnt the significance of the numbers by observing at a glance how important part they play in racing. If you will forget for a moment the names of the horses and only concell- trate on their running numbers (numbers which are actually worn by them), you will at once notice what a strange result takes place. There are also other numbers which are allotted to horses. These are called Side or Draw Numbers or starters. The system set forth in this book is equally applicable to these numbers also, bit our present study is con- fined to the running numbers only,)which are ex- changed for dividend money. While selecting a horse only you are hesitant about its capacity to win or at least to come among the first four. But » on the contrary, if you are to be armed with the knowledge about the potential power of a number your selection would become absolutely easy, It c obvious therefore that in selecting your horses not only have you to consider their forms, but also con- centrate on the numbers allotted to them. When working on numerology, more attention should “gal paid to the running numbers and the planets con. trolling them which are going strong from ra : ‘a race. Your form study of horses must come into play, and you must be able to judge immediately which higher numbers and in what races they are likely to develop. Easy Mersop or Pickinc Winners But you may not be sufficiently advanced in your form study, and therefore will require a more firmer data on which you can work with sat You must have by now fully realised that w other racing systems, in which elaborate tions have to be made before you are to take a jump, our present system i hae Eh HORSES AND THEIR RUNNING NUMBERS 2 to eliminate altogether these helpful methods. We must have something new, something elastic and quick that will put us on the right track. We are ignoring all the mundane astrological aspects, and creating our own small horizon from which we read the future. This horizon is. only seen after the end of the first race. We will then be in a position to know which planets with their numbers have ap- peared on the horizon and what influence they will have on the remaining races. It is a condition then that without a clear-cut map of the horizon before you, no attempt will be made to forecast. Your presence on the Race course is therefore prime necessity. Without any prejudice and armec with sufficient knowledge of form study, you enter any Race Track or any place where stakes are offered on rotating numbers. You wait till the firs: race or game is over and see what the first fou numbers have come to rule. Then determine thei controllers. The group comprising these planets is your horizon from which all your further selections are to be based. To this group other planets when they rise from race to race will also be added. In the result under study, we find that the order of the first four horses was as We have in the first race a winner under No. 12. Therefore, Mercury with its No. 12 or any of its other numbers would become strong in subsequent races at stated hours. We note down this number and its ruler, and mark all the horses coming under it in the remaining races. The second horse whose number is 10 comes under the influence of the Sun (Saturn), and should be considered strong after Mercury the first horse. Where therefore, only the three numbers are declared the study will have to be con- fined to these numbers only, The most important numbers are, of course, second and third and your selection should be made from these two numbers. QUIZ: How is the horizon formed? What is the sionificance of the first number in the first race? How the background of the horizon is formed? What are progressive planets? Why fourth number is important? CHAPTER Il IMPORTANCE OF BASIC AND HIGHER NUMBERS We take it that you have by now made a very thorough study of the numbers and their move- ments from race to race You Taust have realised how reliable they are once they begin to move. In your research you must have observed that a certain planet rules very powerfully with the same number in almost all races: while on other oceasions it rules with any of its basic or higher numbers This may be attributable to two reasons: either the basic-numbers carried by 4 planet may have been cancelled or the race having a wider field, the highe: numbers must have prevailed. Planets as a rule stick to the same numbers from race to race. Thus if the Sun, (5) appears among the first four horses he will represent most probably with the same number from race to race, No consideration should there- fore be given to the higher numbers unless they actually appear in any race. A planet that rises in any race must as a rule develop immediately after some time and the number whether basic or higher by which it represents must automatically follow. Let us now tum our attention to the method by which we are able to locate the influence of a rising planet from race to race, For our study we take 4 series of examples and show how the influence ot a rising Plan should be judged. For the purpose of our study we have already linked Jupiter with the Moon and the Sun with Saturn. It therefore follows that whenever we are on the look out for Jupiter, we cannot ignore the Moon; so also in the case of the Sun. held at 2-30 P.M. and the th their respective rmbers The first race was following planets wi ruled at that hour. Mercury although ruled in the first race with its double numbers, became weak and appear- ed only in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 9th races in the second and third positions only. -Remember then that out of your horizon one planet is likely to be strong throughout the. day, and must rule at stated hours. But how to find which particular planet is likely to be strong and rule throughout the day? In the following paragraph you will be told how to judge the potential power of a planet from among the group in the horizon. Rutes Warcn Govern PLaNetary MoveMENTS To proceed with our studies. Rule No. 1: The Planet which appears in the first race and controls the first horse always be- comes powerful immediately for one hour, and thereafter at an interval of every, one hour which may, due to various reasons (such as cancellation of numbers, or absent from races) be postponed to two hours even, This condition is brought about only when some other planet becomes overwhelm- ingly strong. The influence of this planet is always strong in se last race, and be on the look out for it with any of its numbers. Rule No. 2; The Planet which controls the second horse is always a progressive planet and must automatically rule in subsequent races, [t invariably rules for one hour, which if it is strong, may be extended to 2 hours. Refer again o bs = at page 29. You will observe that we have Mercury ruling at No. 13, and with its No. 3 in the first and fourth positions respectively. By appearing fourth this planet weakens its position and must disappear for some time. The Moon and the Sun who Sec pied the second and the third place on the horizon must as a matter of fact become powerful, and they must occupy winning positions alternately. Now refer back again to page 27 where the result of Poona Race—Fourth Day—Saturday—Ist Sep- tember 1934 is shown. We will now summarise this result in the light of the above four rules, isthace; G 5 $8 4 The first planet Mercury ruled In the 2nd race with its No. 3 (Third position In the 3rd race with its No. 3 (Second position In the 4th race with its No, 12 (Third positior In the 6th race with its No. 6 (Fourth position ' In the 9th race with its No. 13 and 12 in the 2nd and $rd_ positions. This planet became absolutely weak in the 5th, 7th, and 8th races in spite of the double influence it had in the first race. . The-second planet the Sun ruled In the Ind race with its No, 5 (Second position) In the Srd race with its No, 5 (First position) In the 4th race with its No. 11 (First position), In the Sth race with its No, 10 and 3 in Jn the 6th race with its No, 5, 10 & IMPORTANCE OF BASIC AND HIGHER NUMBERS 88, Mark the consistency of this planet and observe how faithfully it has ruled from race to race. This was the second progressive planet and according to rule 2 must become powerful and rule with all its force. The third planet ruled at the same time as the first. The fourth planet the Moon ruled in In the Srd race with its No. 4 (Third position) Yn the Sth race with its No. 4 (Second position) In the 7th race with its No. 9 (Second position) Tn the 8th race with its No. 9 & 4 (First & Second positions) In the 9th race with its No. 9 (Fourth position) The fourth was the next powerful planet after the second horse, and ruled with accuracy, Re- member the value of No. 4 is also No, 9 as both are linked together just in the same way as Mars 1 is linked with 8: When therefore the selection is of the Moon, Jupiter sliould not be ignored. We take another example—Bombay Spring Meeting—First Day—Wednesday 27th February 1936. The result was as follows: FP Race No or Horse I Il Ii IV 1 10 13 18 2 9 2 8 10 6 3 6 7 5 8 4 5 10 3 12 5 5 6 ] 14 6 6 10 ll 9 a 4 15 18 16 8 13 14 12 7 We will now discuss how the rules are to be inter: 34 HORARY NUMEROLOGY OF THE TOM oreted. \ccording to Rule No. 1, the planet ri the me horse in the first race ee mmediately for one hour, In the : ling i have the Sun (Saturn) with its No- 4 the a first race, We therefore fix lanet Venus (2) The Fourth horse was under the Fae and was therefore strong m een these two The choice was therefore betw 5 planets, and we fix these two. numbers for the . cond race. The second and -; =m were un i f Mereury and Jupifer, and we a" the influence 0! y edie aes sumed that they would be races, The result of the second race was as follows: Ist Horse Venus _ 9nd Horse = Mars. 3rd Horse Sun 4th Horse Mereury Here.according to our calculations both the Sun at its No. 10 and Venus at No. 2 became powerlul and ruled; while Mercury and Jupiter were conspi- cuous by their absence among the first three horses. In the second race Mars (8) and Mercury (6) came in second and fourth places respectively. As pre- ference has to be given to the fourth horse when considering the next immediate race, there is no alternative but to fix Mercury (6) as a likely win- ner and Mars (8) in a place position. The other two planets from the previous race viz. Venus and - the Sun have also to be remembered being pro- gressive. The result of the third place was as follows: : * ig ' 36 , HORARY NUMEROLOGY OF THE TUKF [ im some races. were Tunning, Th Qt horses : je TW a mber f ‘hi ‘ | = a Horses Sd, 17 ‘ 4h 16 ' St 35 ; Gh |. 42 , Mars with its number 1 appeared in the first race in the 8rd position and with higher number (16) in the third race in the same position. Since higher numbers were running we assumed that higher numbers of planets would have to be taken into account, No. 16 of Mars in the third race was a pointer that this planet will rule again with this number, It ruled in the last race. See alsa how No. 1 of Mars ruled in the 4th and Sth races, Note also how Mercury with its higher Nos. 12, 13 and 25 and Venus with its Nos. 14,15,29 and $1 have appeared. When considering the potential strength of a planet, due care should be taken of both basic and higher numbers. If Mercury rules say with its basic No. 3 in the second position, it may rule again with this or higher numbers 6 or 12 or 13 or 94, 95, 26 or 27. But the selection of higher number other than 6 should be confined to the sing or the one which has appeared once, and its linke number. If No. 12 has appeared, your selection should be either 12 or 18. The other higher num- hers should be completely ignored. , {IMPORTANCE OF BASIC AND HIGHER NUMBERS 37 Research THE Prime Necessrry or Procress in Stupy The student is now in full possession of data to commence his research. It is hardly necessary for us to emphasise how important it is to carry out researches in order to satisfy how the different rules and instructions work in practice. Research is therefore a prime necessity for making rapid pro- gress in study. The student should therefore take a series of races from day to day and commence his research in accordance with the principles enun- ciated in the previous chapters. It is just possible that at first he may feel diffident about the workir g of this science, but as he progresses with his study, he will find the science not only interesting but something out of the ordinary which will give him 4 an entirely néw vision never befescs conjured up Ly a _ him. He will develop his power of observation Ly? «7_merely looking at numbers, and thus avoid such extraneous matters as colours, jockeys, trainess or the horses. Remember that when fixing any planet never allow any consideration to weigh with your judgment, except the movements of planets. Move neglected a horse, whose number you think iS 7 strong more chances for it to win. So also if any horse becomes favourite do not be carried av with the idea that it would appear as a winner from it. If our number is strong and lon offered against it, hundred to one we wo rect in our selection. But this study is only confined to principles governing the movements their numbers. (2) Jupiter (9) when it is a winner or comes in a place position in any race other than the first, it ill repeat its influence immediately for 1 to 1 hour, But if it goes fourth in any race itis an obvious sign of its weakness, and may disappeat for some time. But its recurring influence is a sure guarantee after 1 to 1 hour. (3) Jupiter as already pointed out has a close affinity with the Moon. When therefore you are an the look out for the Moon at any time, never ignore Jupiter. It may take its place. As a mat ter of fact when Jupiter and the Moon are strong, they will alternate with each other in their influ- ence. Cancellation of any of their numbers weakens them, but the more powerful of the two, especially when it is repeating, will always rule. (4) Unless there is a wider field of horses. the higher numbers have no chance to appear. Mark also the effect of the Moon in the 2nd and the 8th races. i (5) However strong you may feel about Jupiter by any consideration, do not be certain about it unless actually seen once in any race. You will then be firm in your judgment. Jupiter is generally | strong from the middle of the day, and remains | powerful till the end.
