Feminism dates back to the second half of the 19th century in France, after the events of the

French Revolution, women decided to seek their own rights. The rights women decided to fight for
were: Wage equality, the right to divorce and to education. In the process, the women understood
that in order to obtain the rights they were seeking, they had to be able to express their opinion
and that it be valid, that is, casting the vote, since campaign proposals and later policies are made
for voters.
