THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND

3A. “Big Wins Require Big Risks”

Since entrepreneurship is an economic activity that sets up business or

businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. Entrepreneurship is and will
always be a risk whether it will be just a starting business, an ongoing business and a
successful business. A starting business requires risk because you will invest an
amount of money, at the same time the starting business is a risk itself. An ongoing
business and a successful business also requires risk because of innovation and a
chance to learn. Thus, risk is quite similar to opportunity.

As the famous phrase quotes “You will never know until you try,” risk is always a
concept of ‘what if’. However, usually risks create big successes as people who take
risks are those who distinguish themselves as leaders. The courage and determination
to not know what exact outcome it will create, makes a person eager for a learning and
gaining experience. Hence, it is one attribute that will lead to innovation with much
bigger opportunities, and as time passes by, big wins will come.
