Note:
The quantities set out above, shall be taken as indicative quantities solely for the purpose to arrive at the
Provisional Contract Price for this Contract. The payment to the Contractor for each item of the Works shall be
based on measurement & certification of actual quantity by Contract Superintendent & applicable unit rates in
the Contract. The Provisional Contract Price, for the purposes of the Contract, shall not be deemed as a fixed
lump sum price, but only as a provisional sum. Also, the quantities indicated is of Maximum quantities and
cannot be exceeded in any circumstances, unless the same is provided in writing by Contract Superintendent
and regularized by a Variation Order.

SCOPE OF WORKS
I. INTRODUCTION:
This note is intended to provide a general guideline for the intended renovation works for
the kitchen at ground floor of fire station building at Sabhan Depot –LM KNPC, as per the
approved drawings with in a duration as specified in clause no.3 of Contract Terms &
Conditions.
The Contractor shall perform the works in accordance with the requirements as further
described in this Contract including the provision of materials, labour, plants and all
necessary equipment, tools and consumables for performance of the Works / Services for
the renovation works for the kitchen at ground floor of Fire Station building at Sabhan
Depot –LM KNPC. The scope of work includes but not limited to remove and cart away of
existing ceramic tiles, ceiling tiles and existing fittings with all accessories, supply and lay
ceramic tiles (floor & wall), supply and fix linear formed aluminum false ceiling (Type
DAMPA) or equal approved quality, supply and installation of kitchen floor and wall
cabinets with kitchen sink including all fixtures as per specifications, replace existing
aluminium windows with new one, replace existing door with new one, and required
plumbing works with all the required fittings as per the approved drawings. The Contractor
shall execute the works in accordance with Company supplied drawings. The Contractor
shall obtain all necessary work permits prior to commencement of the Works.
Civil Scope:
The contractor scope includes but not limited to remove and cart away of existing ceramic
tiles, ceiling tiles, doors, windows and existing fittings with all accessories, supply and lay
ceramic tiles (floor & wall), supply and fix linear formed aluminum false ceiling (Type
DAMPA) or equal approved quality, supply and installation of kitchen floor and wall
cabinets with kitchen sink including all fixtures as per specifications, replace existing
aluminum windows with new one, replace existing door with new one, and required
plumbing works with all the required fittings as per the approved drawings. While carrying
out the work, protection of all facilities including cables and other items shall be the
responsibility of the contractor and contractor shall be held responsible for any damage
caused during the work. Any damage to the existing facility during the works shall be
repaired to its former self to the satisfactory level of KNPC representative. Any kind of
removal of existing items/modifications to renovate according to drawings shall be the
responsibility of the contractor.
The contractor shall schedule and carry out the work in such way that the operation of depot/
facility is not getting affected during the project tenure.
Note:
Any damaged area shall be repaired and made well as per the requirement of
this contract / existing conditions.
IV. GENERAL:
A combined site visit to the site before starting the work is advised. The Contractor
shall submit relevant catalogues, specifications, test certificates and samples of
materials to the Superintendent’s Representative for approval prior to incorporating
such materials into the Works.
The Contractor shall submit a detailed program of work and shall report to the
Superintendent’s Representative daily by 14th hour and required to submit daily
progress report and next day planning. The contractor shall submit checklist for
each step to work for approval.
The Contractor shall ensure that the Works is carried out only after a work permit
and/or other permits are obtained from the Company as per the Company’s
applicable HSEMS procedures, including the Permit to Work Procedure.
During this period, the KNPC facility will be under operation and the Contractor
shall carry out the work without any disturbance & obstruction for the smooth
functioning of the facility.
The contractor shall provide adequate transportation for his personnel and necessary
movement of equipment for the proper execution of work. Any conveyance related
to the work will be the responsibility of the contractor.
The Contractor shall keep good housekeeping standards and protect the area with
proper barricading. During the modification work, the Contractor shall be
responsible for keeping the site clean and accordingly remove the waste materials
from site time to time.
Upon completion and on handing over the site, the Contractor shall ensure that the
entire site is fully clean.
