API SCT 10th ediñon
This new ediñon provide technical update that
have reached consensus within API's Subcommittee
on Tubular Goods and give industry consistent
pactices in the respecñve areas of the standards.

Key Changes
• Scope to refeence RP 5C6 for new requiremen¥ for large diameter PSL 2 casing not specifically
covered by Spec SCT(e.g. conductor casing)
• New content on converting USC unit to SI units to be used in stress intensity factor toughness and
updates to SSC requirements
• Updated pipe range Ien@h requiements for carload shipping
• Update requiements for gade N8O Type 1
• Update requimments for pipe with special end-finish theads
• Updates to how material grades are grouped throughout document
• Eliminate Supplemen@ry Requirement 15 (test certificates) and add new requiemenu for mill test
reports/certifications in its place
• Expand hiangle s@mp marking requiemen¥
• Add polymer quenching for grade L8O
• Update hardness requirement Dr grades L80, C9O, T95 and C11O as result of NACE MRO175
• Delete clause on reducing couplings
• Update requiements for L8O 13Cr inside surface preparañon
• Expand equirements Dr NDE personnel certificañon
• Eliminañon of grade M65 enñrely from the specification
• Updates and clarifications for NACE testing methods as result of updates to NACE's requirements
• Inceaw casing coupling OD wall thicknesus for 4-1/2,5 and 5-1/2 inch. and update spec
respectively throughout as esuK, e.g. recalculate weight gain/loss of material

• The Monogram Program efiecñve date will be July 1.2019
• Current licensees shall ensure &at products manufactured on and aher July 1st, 2019 meet
the requirements of API SCT 1Qh ediñon in order to be monogrammed
• Effective July 1sL 2019, API SCT audits will be conducted to the 1Oth edition of the document

• Current licenses shall ensure that products manufactured on and aher January 1, 2019 meet
the requimments of API 5B 16th ediñon in order to be monogammed
• Efletive January 1, 2019, API SCT/5L/5B audits will be conducted to the 16th edition of API 5B
