OTHER INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCES

New DMPI Clinic (Design & Supervision)


New DMPI Clinic is a prominent provider of occupational health services for Del Monte. It is a free-standing
facility with independent operations, small professional staff, limited facilities, and streamlined procedures
designed to facilitate the management of acute injuries and the rehabilitation of temporary disabilities.
Patients are generally drawn from local employer (DMPI) with whom they often have contracts for services,
emphasizing episodic care of injuries or illnesses on an acute basis and periodic health evaluations as
mandated by law or by company policy.
 
Clothes & Shoes Changing Building (Design & Supervision)
Clothes & Shoes Changing Facility is a contamination control facility of Del Monte Philippines, Inc. This will
address requirements under “Human Foods; Current Good Manufacturing Practice (Sanitation) in
Manufacture, Processing, Packing of Holding”. The project is a single storey building sub-divided into different
structures and functions. Some of these structures are incidental to Clothes and Shoes Changing Facility.
Incidental structures such as the New DMPI Clinic, covered walkway and shed, office spaces and other
renovation works are carried under this project primarily to have better access and functionality of the
Gowning facility. This facility consists of locker rooms (for male, female and visitors,), boots counter and
washing area, shoe changing area, and foot bath.
 
Coal Fired Boiler Building (Supervision)
The project consists of 2,400 square meter of Coal Storage Building and 1,900 square meter of Boiler Building.
Columns, beams and trusses are fabricated using Grade 36 structural steel and clad with G-26 Spandek
roofing. It has a 4.5 meter high reinforced concrete wall to contain coal stockpiles. The project also includes
MCC room, laboratory, office, and truck tire bath & scale house.
 
Road Concreting & Drainage Projects (Design & Supervision)
Construction of 4,100 square meter-200mm thick concrete pavement and installation of drainage system
around the DMPI Coal Fired Boiler.
 
Pier Rehabilitation (Design & Supervision)
The project will rehabilitate the 28-year old Del Monte Pier/ dock pursuant to Philippine Port Authority (PPA)
Standards.
 
 
Sanitary Landfill & Leachate Treatment Facility (Design & Supervision)
This project will store fly ash debris generated from the DMPI Coal Fired Boiler. All design specifications are
based on the DENR Implementing Rules and Regulation in developing Sanitary Landfill. Some designs were
further modified to address additional requirements in containing industrial waste both solid and liquid. The
project includes landfill composite liner, equipment shed, ISO tank bundwall, CHB perimeter fence, leachate &
drainage system, treatment facility, and road rehabilitation.

Note: These industrial experiences refer to the projects undertaken by the founder as a designer and project manager during his employment at Del Monte Philippines, Inc.
