Traffic Survey Planning:

Traffic survey will be done for future forecasting of traffic. For these four types of traffic data
will be counted:
1. Traffic counting (Intersection and Neck)
2. Origin-Destination (O-D) survey (in three location)
3. Travel time survey
4. Questionnaire survey.
Traffic Survey time:
1. For traffic counting: Two pick traffic day and two off pick traffic day will be selected;
time will be 16 hours (2 shift).
2. For O-D survey three location will be selected from reconnaissance survey
3. For travel time survey all the possible existing route time will be calculated using
local vehicle and private car.
4. Around 200 questionnaire survey will be done. (Question will include local preferred
route, preference, and others related information which will be required for
forecasting)
Costing:
1. Reconnaissance Survey: 9,500/-
2. Traffic counting : 4,65,000/-
3. O-D Survey : 60,000/-
4. Travel time Survey : 40,000/-
 5. Questionnaire Survey : 20,000/-
6. Survey Management Cost: 35,000/-
7. Traffic forecasting & Modeling cost: 1,25,000/-
8. Reporting: 10,000/-

Total Costing: 7,64,500/-

Notes:
Intersection count: Traffic count taken in any intersection to understand the directional
movement.
Neck Count: Traffic count taken in any mid-block of road to understand the traffic flow and
check the total traffic data of a certain time.
