Briefly explain characteristics of modern art


Modern art are artistic work produced during the period extending from the 1860s to the 1970s
and denotes the styles and philosophy of the art produced during that era that is from late 19th and
10 mid 20th century

The term is usually associated with art in which the traditions of the past have been thrown aside
in a spirit of experimentation.

Works produced during this time show case artists interest in re-imagining reinterpreting and
even rejecting traditional shetic values proceeding styles.

Modern art broke away from the traditions of the past to create art works which kept challenging
the motion of art

Realism is recognized as the first made movement in art.

It began in France in the 1850 and later spread to the other nations

Realism was followed by impressionism another French movement which focused on capturing
the momentary effects

This was followed by various innovations in the 20th Century

Artists involved included Cloude Monet, Pablo Piasco, Andy Worhol and frida Kahlo

Art works made in modern art includes Black Iris III(1926) by Georgia O Keffe, Colos skull,
Red, white and blue in 1931.

Jackson Pallock made Radiator building in new York in 1927. The kiss by Klimit Gustar

Modern art is the art of a style by a significant departure from traditional style and values in a
particular that crated between the late 19th and the late 20th centuries.

Modern art includes artistic work produced during the style and philosophy of the 1860s to the
1970s and denotes the style and philosophy of the art produced during that era.

Modernist art is about innovation and freedom . It’s about brining something new into the
world that is not reliant on tradition. As it emerged in the 19 th and early 20th Century,

In this era there were different artist like Pablo Van Gogh, Gustau Klimt, Georgia Okeette,
