REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY

A.Reproductive Engineering

Reproductive engineering is a human effort to develop life by engineering the stages of the
production process that take place naturally. Examples of production engineering are as follows.

1.Network culture

Tissue culture is growing cells or planting tissue in a special medium aseptically or sterilely
and should not be contaminated from the outside, so that the plant can multiply and become a
complete plant. Examples of plants: bananas, mangoes, sugarcane, and orchids.

2.Cloning

Cloning is the use of multisesuler living somatic cells to create one or more individuals with
the same genetic material. Example of cloning: Dolly sheep born through the cloning process.

3.Artificial Isemination

Artificial insemination is fertilization or fertilization that occurs in an egg with a sperm cell injected
into the female's genitals. Example: it can occur in mammals.

4.Hybridization

Hybridization is a cross between varieties in the same species that have superior
properties. Examples of hybridization: corn, coconut, sugarcane, and orchids.

5.IVF

IVF is a baby that is the result of fertilization that takes place outside the reproductive
system, but is done in a laboratory where the doctor uses a 'tube' as the medium and the result of
fertilization will be understood in the mother's 'womb'.
