“I’m sure Cleveland will have something else that we need to prepare for and make

sure we’re prepared for when we come into the game,” Patricia said of the Patriots’
upcoming opponent, “but he’s just so balanced – Kiel kind of guy. Nothing really gets
him too high or too low.

“He’s very smart. He sees the game well. From that point of view the communication
is great and we can go back and forth with the adjustments.”

Quarterbacks Coach Joe Judge appreciates how well Zappe was able to do
everything he was asked to do and how well he works with all the quarterbacks in the
stable to try to prepare each week.

“He did a good job last week, just preparing and doing everything he was asked to
do,” Judge said. “He went through every cut we gave him, went through the whole
game tape. Worked a lot with Mac and the other quarterbacks. It’s great to have
these guys as a resource to give him perspective that sometimes you don’t have as a
coach.”
