Resources Mental Math cards, conversion chart, scale, inch tape, White board and Work book.

Teacher will call the students having long hair and measure the length using hand.
After that teacher will ask them what other ways can be used to measure length of objects. Feedback will be 4 min

Extensive task: Students will be asked to measure the length of their pencils, erasers and pouch and note down
in sticky notes. Teacher will collect student’s responses on the board (Pair work).
Plenary: Randomly students will be asked to tell what did you learn in today’s class & what else to we need
improve or which part was difficult 5 min

measure length of a door in m or in km? Q-Roads are measured in cm or in m? etc.
