FORMAT:
1. APA 7TH EDITION OF CITATION AND REFERENCING
2. FONT SIZE – 12 /// FONT: TIMES NEW ROMAN
3. 8.5” X 11” PAPER SIZE
4. JUSTIFIED ALIGNMENT WITH A 1.5 INCH LEFT INDENTION AND 1 INCH FOR THE TOP, BOTTOM
AND RIGHT INDENTION
5. PAGE NUMBERS SHOULD BE AT THE RIGHT BOTTOM PART OF THE PAPER
6. SPACING EITHER 1.5 OR DOUBLE SPACING. DEPENDS ON THE INSITUTIONAL FORMAT OR THE
DECISION OF THE FACILITATOR

Other Things to accomplish aside from the FOUR (4) chapters:

1. Acknowledgement – one of the preliminary parts of a research paper in which the researchers
state their appreciation to all the people who helped and contributed something in the research
that they have conducted.
2. Abstract – Comprehensive summary of the whole research. Should include the problem, the
objectives and purposes stated in the research, methods, results, and findings. It should be no
longer than 250 words (150-250 words)
3. Table of Contents – an ORGANIZED list of all the chapters and major parts of the research with
their page numbers.
4. APPENDICES – in Practical Research 1, Appendices contain attachments that are important in the
research but should not be included in the chapters --- Consent forms, Validation Letters,
Curriculum Vitae, and the documentation of the interview/ data gathering.
REMEMBER: THE GROUP WILL ONLY DO THESE PARTS ONCE THE RESEARCH HAS BEEN APPROVED OR
ONCE THE FINAL DEFENSE HAS BEEN SUCCEFULLY DONE.
SAMPLES WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE DEFENSE (IF YOUR PAPER WILL BE SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED)

FOR THE FINAL DEFENSE, your group needs two things --- Word copy of the document and the group’s
PowerPoint Presentation.
THINGS NEEDED FOR THE WORD COPY:
1. Correct Title Page
2. Complete Chapter One
3. Complete Chapter Two
4. Complete Chapter Three
5. Complete Chapter Four
For the PowerPoint
Put all the parts, but just the main points --- slides should at least have 7 to 10 lines besides the upper
part/title part at the top.
1. Title Page
CHAPTER ONE
2. Introduction – just the main points: Research Objectives, at least two related lit or study,
respondents, locale, method, and timeline.
3. Review of Related Literature and Studies
a. ONE FOREIGN LIT
b. ONE LOCAL LIT
c. ONE FOREIGN STUDY
d. ONE LOCAL STUDY
e. SYNTHESIS – INCLUDE THE LIT AND STUDIES THAT SUPPORT THE STATEMENTS IN THE
SOP
4. Theoretical Framework – Main points: Theory, Proponent/s, Definition, Relationship with the
research
5. Research Paradigm – just out the IPO model, the correct one.
6. Statement of the Problem – Put the complete Statement of the Problem.
7. Assumptions of the Study – Just the main points: the assumption and supporting literature.
8. Scope and Delimitation - Just the main points
9. Significance of the Study – Just the main points: Can be in bullet form.
10. Definition of Terms – in bullet form
CHAPTER TWO
11. Research Design - Main points: Do not make it too wordy. Can be in bullet form then just explain
the terms the group will provide.
12. Research Locale – just the main point – write the place but explain the inclusion of online data
gathering because of the pandemic.
13. Respondents of the Study - just the main point: write the respondents and the requirements
needed to be the respondents.
14. Sampling Technique - just the main point: provide the sampling method and its definition.
15. Research Instrument - just the main point – write and define the instrument.
16. Date Gathering and Procedure – just the main points: Write the Data gathering tool, define it,
then the procedure of the research
Chapter Three – BEFORE PUTTING THE PRESENTATION FOR THE ANSWERS OF THE RESPONDENTS,
PRESENT THE QUESTIONS IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE FIRST.
17. Presentation – present the information using the textual and tabular presentation.
18. Analysis and Interpretation – Provide the summary for each interview question.
Chapter Four
19. Summary – just the main point: Can be in bullet form.
20. Conclusion – bullet form
21. Recommendation – bullet form
22. Screenshot of the correct references or if you have time, type the reference list.
P.S. THIS IS JUST FOR THE PPT – DO NOT JUST COPY PASTE EVERYTHING, MAKE IT SHORTER BUT
INCLUDE JUST THE MAIN POINTS. SOME ARE ACCEPTED TO BE PRESENTED IN BULLET FORM.

POSSIBLE QUESTIONS:
1. SOMETHING ABOUT THE RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
2. SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM RELATED TO THE RESEARCH THAT YOU WANT TO SOLVE
3. CONNECTION OF ALL THE PARTS OF THE RESEARCH
4. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
5. THE REASON WHY YOU CHOSE THE LOCALE AND THE RESPONDENTS INCLUDING THE NUMBER
OF THE RESPONDENTS
6. THE SUPPORTING ARTICLES OR THEORIES TO THE GENERAL AND SPECIFIC PROBLEM
Those are just the questions that might be asked, unless the paper needs improvement then you will be
asked by a lot of questions. Study everything and not just your parts, especially the connection of every
part to one another.
