TUGUEGARAO AIRPORT
 A. Classify the airport and put a brief description on
its location, purpose, history and physical features.

LOCATION
 Tuguegarao airport is located in Barangay Pengue-
Ruyu, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

PURPOSE
 Tuguegarao airport is an airport serving the general
area of Tuguegarao, the capital city of the province of
Cagayan in the Philippines.

HISTORY
 In 2015, the Department of Transportation and
Communications launches the expansion and
modernization program of the Tuguegarao Airport,
alongside several key secondary airports in the
country.

PHYSICAL FEATURES
 The airport consist of a 1,100 square meter terminal
with its second floor to be developed during its
second phase of rehabilitation—[3] and a 150-meter
by 115-meter apron.

Runway.
• The runway will enhance efficient airline operations

•A taxiway is a path for aircraft at an airport connecting
runways with aprons, hangars, terminals and other
facilities.
Apron.
•The airport apron, apron, flight line, ramp, or tarmac is
the area of an airport where aircraft are parked,
unloaded or loaded, refueled, boarded, or maintained.
Terminal building.
•An airport terminal is a building at an airport where
passengers transfer between ground transportation and
the facilities that allow them to board and disembark
from an aircraft.
Control tower.
•A control tower is a building at an airport from which
instructions are given to aircraft when they are taking
off or landing.
