THE BAD EFFECTS AND SOLUTIONS TO THE DEFORESTATION.

Deforestation has always been a pressing problem which has many serious impacts on the
environment all over the world. My essay will examine the effects of deforestation and
propose several solutions to tackle the problem of destroying natural forests.

There are several disastrous results caused by forest clearance. One of the most obvious
consequences is environmental pollution. Natural forests play an important role in purifying
the air, absorbing the carbon dioxide which is emitted by human activities. Additionally,
deforestation may put many animal species at risk or even lead to their extinctions. Another
negative impact is that natural disasters are likely to occur more frequently. Trees have the
ability to soak up a large amount of water when it rains. Cutting down trees results in more
floods.

There are some effective ways for us to protect our natural forests. First of all, governments
can reduce the amount of energy generated from coal and gas because we need wood to heat
them up. By doing that, a lot of trees will be saved. Also, governments could introduce
stricter laws to prevent deforestation from happening. Another solution to this problem is to
encourage people to plant more trees. It is undeniable that trees reduce air pollution
effectively. For that reason, trees should be planted more on the streets and in the parks.

In conclusion, there are various consequences caused by deforestation. Both governments

and individuals should take immediate actions to minimize the bad effects and improve our
natural surroundings.
