Jeff Ettinger and Governor Walz Host a Rally for

Young Voters
The event highlights the pivotal role that young people will play in deciding
the outcome of the November 8th election.

On Thursday at 4pm, Democratic congressional candidate in MN-1 Jeff Ettinger

and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will hold a rally on the Minnesota State
University Mankato campus. The event will center around motivating issues for
young voters in the upcoming election and galvanize college students across
Southern Minnesota to get out and vote in the November 8th General Election.

Said Ettinger, “From women’s reproductive rights, to our democracy, to affordable and
accessible education, the stakes for young people in Southern Minnesota have never
been higher. It’s a top priority for my campaign to connect with young people from
across the district whose futures are tied up in the results of this election in so many
ways.”

As a long-time advocate for affordable education, Jeff Ettinger helped establish a

scholarship program in his hometown of Austin that has paved the way for hundreds
of students to attend college, many of them as first-generation college graduates. The
Minnesota State University Mankato rally will also be attended by State Senator Nick
Frentz, State Representative Luke Frederick, and candidates for State House Jeff
Brand, Carolyn Treadway, and Marcia Stapleton.

The Jeff Ettinger and Governor Tim Walz campaigns ask that reporting about the rally
be embargoed until 3:00 PM on Thursday, Oct. 13.
