I want to be part of the NSTP-CWTS program because.....

I wanted to serve the underserved. Our nation is currently on its nemesis, and the poor is greatly affected
by the incompetency the uppers are doing. With the high demands of accountability, it is still left unheard.
It is now my time to take a stand as a part of this program and to serve my countrymen right. It is also my
heart to be part of intensive training in the medical and environmental field, with great emphasis on public
service through the extension programs of the university. Also, this COVID-19 pandemic exposed the filthy
flaws in our public health, compensation for our farmers, and food systems, as well as a lack of adequate
and accessible basic social services, which have left numerous Filipinos hungry, destitute, and unwell. In
addition, our parliament and legislative body are elite-dominated, where they are capable of doing
everything, to the point of tarnishing one’s human right. As a part of this class, I cannot be silent anymore.
And this made me want to be part of this class, to expose and change the unhealthy duplicity our oligarchs
are hiding behind their masks. This is a time where selfishness should be tarnished, and a chance to have
a glimpse of the lives the Proletariats are suffering. Nonetheless, I want to be part of the NSTP-CWTS
program because I wanted to be part of the change. This change starts in ourselves. By speaking out,
changing our habits, and being influenced by the right people. Once the change began to flourish within
us, it can also influence the campus. Ergo, influencing the Philippines. Together, let us serve and influence
the people right.
