Classroom Design
I really enjoyed putting together a design for my future classroom, especially because I enjoy
arranging furniture to make a room look open and inviting. Which made the process tricky in
that with limited space I had to physically draw out different scenarios. From these different
plans I decided what I liked best and made my first attempt on the drawing software. Even then I
had plenty of difficulties specially that with so many overlapping objects and text boxes it was
difficult to arrange everything. I made plenty of changes from my original designs, however, I
made plenty of use of the grouping tool as it was helping in keeping things together so I would
not accidentally shift the rest of the design.
1.4 Innovative Designer: Students use a variety of technologies within a design process to
identify and solve problems by creating new, useful, or imaginative solutions.
A way to change the lesson would be to make it a competition among the students. Then after
each group completes their design, the teacher will allow for all students to vote on their favorite
design, with the constraint that they cannot vote on their own. By making them create in groups
rather than on their own would be great in that they would be required to compromise on their
ideas so that they can truly be proud of their completed work.
