Web Launchpad

1. The most difficult was finding the websites, and going through them to make sure they
were truly safe for students to be on. The actual building of the launchpad was quite
easy as I had already pictured a rather straightforward and simplistic design.
2. NETs for students
1.1 Empowered Learner: Students leverage technology to take an active role in
choosing, achieving, and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by
the learning sciences.
1.2 Digital Citizen: Students recognize the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of
living, learning and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model
in ways that are safe, legal and ethical.
3. Something that I would change is that the design was made with younger children in
mind, especially so that they wouldn’t get distracted with too much imagery, as well as
the websites. The websites are catered to younger students. I was originally thinking of
using doors rather than books but happened to like the book clipart so I simply changed
the color. So for older kids I would look for a door design and maybe even include a
short description below.
