What is, according to you, the best way of not losing intangible heritage like
cuisine, rituals, songs and dance, while still allowing communities to have access to
modern living and amenities. Your grade will depend on how cogent and persuasive
your argument is and how logical given what we have discussed in class.

Modernization is inevitable in today's society due to the fact that humans are looking for a way
to make their lives easier. Keeping heritages is important as it defines one community's past and
who they are and what they define. The culture and heritage of the people is slowly and
gradually depleting as the world is indulging in technology but some things stay in a way that's
changed to fit in today's time.
Maintaining such heritages is quite hard without making any changes to fit in today's
standardized living. People are moving towards a society where modernization is everything, let
it be music, songs or food. Culture and Heritage tells us everything we need to know about our
past and how far we have come, but it doesn't signify that heritages should stay in their original
form since they had different environments and needs than the people who have them now.
There are still ways of continuing and even improving the heritages by making them fit the way
of living. Small significant changes that can be done to not lose our cultures and traditions and
to spread them across.

Socializing and doing rituals, festivals, dancing and singing is a big part of the culture and in
today's time, it's tough to carry on with the traditions as the society is moving forward in an
easier direction and comparatively it's hard to keep up, especially for the tribal communities.( If
we start giving importance to such traditions it might help with keeping them alive in
communities.) There are different ways we can keep traditions alive while still allowing
communities to have access to modern living and amenities:
First off, one of the most crucial ways individuals can preserve their culture is by simply
continuing to do it and passing it on to the next generation in the same manner that their
ancestors did with the culture that exists now. educating people about the value of culture and
ways in which it may coexist with modern society. Many people maintain a sense of pride in
their culture against all odds; the younger generation can take inspiration from them and learn
about it in addition to receiving a solid education.Schools surrounding various communities may
have various traditional or cultural clubs where they can educate students about their culture,
which can be done by those who do those rites. It can significantly increase kids' awareness.

Additionally, some rituals can be challenging to access in the modern world since certain
customs may violate certain religious beliefs or be illegal, which shows that modernity has
contributed to the eradication of immoral and forbidden rituals and practices. Some (ethical)
rituals can be kept as a festival honoring the original cultures from which they originated. As an
aspect of modern culture, suppressed cultures can also beAdditionally, one of the most
significant factors that can raise awareness and protect our heritage is the media. The

educating people about their many rituals, foods, songs, dances, and languages through social
media. Even if the state of the world is deteriorating, many people are getting fascinated and
aware of them owing to those who helped raise knowledge.

Additionally, adding modern touches to traditional items may help keep them relevant. For
instance, restaurants may serve traditional foods alongside modern beverages, or they may
provide traditional drinks like kada, a strong herbal beverage that is a staple of many cultures'
customs. The greatest method to stop the depletion of many traditional cuisines that are
handed down through the generations is to compile our own recipe book. Our mothers and
grandmothers have taught us a lot, but we typically forget it or are uninterested in it, and the
traditional foods that have been passed down from generation to generation and are largely
healthful and good for us fade from our lives.

Furthermore, one of the most significant factors that can raise awareness and protect our
heritage is the media. The audience's interest in numerous cultural activities might be sparked
through television. We might have a television programme that discusses diverse cultures and
traditions, how they came into existence, and the deeper significance and messages they
contain. The government should allocate finances and establish a team of academics,
researchers, writers, cultural experts, and historians to produce written materials and
documentation regarding customs and cultures, as well as to raise awareness among the general
public.

This is our chance to speak out and educate people about our customs. We have learned a lot
from our cultures and traditions, whether it is through yoga or medicinal foods, joint social
activities, dancing, or musical rhythms. We must protect our culture and traditions because
they are what have allowed us to advance so far.
