The product to be purified enters the bow! through the feed tube (1) and is purified in the disc stack (4). The separated water flows over the separating disc (5) and discharges from the bow! by gravity. The purified oil is discharged under pressure by the built-in centripetal pump (3). The separated solids accumulate in the solids space (6) and are periodically ejected from the bowl during operation. The bowl is automatically cleaned at preset intervals during operation of the purifier. The cleaning proce- dure is managed by a PLC system and can be pro- grammed to perform any combination of controlled Partial or full cleaning cycles as determined by the application. Frame, hood and drive The centrifuge is of enclosed design. The hood is removable. The centrifuge is driven by a three-phase AC motor. Power is transferred to the bowl spindle via a centrifugal clutch and a flat belt gear. All bearings are splash-lubricated from a central oil bath.
