The article is to present the results of a survey on fashion, in which the
fashion show is the fashion’s favorite. First, the point of top-end fashion in
which haute couture is the fashion house’s loss leader is to create brand
images and the benefits of fashion shows are to help fashion houses generate
publicity. The fashion shows may be expensive but the publicity they generate
works out cheaper and more effective than advertisements in the glossy
magazines. Second, fashion industry is important to France’s economy
because of its huge economic weigh. Finally, the challenge for fashion
industry is not only to continue or to become a fashion capital in the future,
but also to sell products now: after all, fashion is a business. To short, the
writer wants to emphasize the benefits of fashion shows to the fashion
industry.
