Soot Less than 3% (TGA or FTIR method), (2)
TBN ≥4

(1). AL content can be higher during the running in period and up to ~ 90.000 km.
It’s also important to check and compare the SI level together with the AL level.

(2). If the soot level is above 3% continual the oil change interval and/or oil quality has to be reviewed
