The Maritime and Coastguard Agency of the United Kingdom issued a notice in June 2007 informing the

public of the Wolfson Unit's previously mentioned research. The notice made it abundantly clear that
the work validated the method for larger yachts and made recommendations regarding how to manage
the stability of large yachts that do not meet all of the criteria, ref[11].• Stability booklet A link between
the information developed by the naval architect and the master must exist once the administration of
each country has approved a vessel's stability requirements.This is reflected in the stability letter or
stability booklet, which should serve as practical stability guidance for the crew and master as well as a
method for evaluating potentially hazardous circumstances.
