Behaviorist Learning Theory

In this theory, it emphasizes the role of environmental factors in influenting behavior.

This theory is essential to focus on learning of what is directly observable.
Behaviorist believe that our responses to environmental stimuli shapes our behavior.

Respondent conditioning emphasizes the relevance of the ambiance of a healthcare

institution and its influence on employee morale in the field of health care. Patients
and visitors establish these connections as a result of their hospital experiences,
often without thinking about it or reflecting on it, and they serve as the foundation for
long-term views toward medicine, healthcare facilities, and health professionals.
Respondent conditioning techniques can be used to extinguish a previously learned
response in addition to influencing the acquisition of new responses to environmental
stimuli. If the unconditioned stimulus is not shown at the same time as the
conditioned stimulus, the response rate decreases with time.

Cognitive Learning Theory

Cpgnitive Learning Theory is a highly active process largely directed by the

individual. It uses metacognition to understand how thought processes influence
learning. It’s often contrasted against or complemented by behavior learning theory,
which focuses on learning.

Social Learning Theory

According to Bandura, social learning theory is a theory that says social behavior is
learned from by observing and imitating the behavior of others. The most common
example of this theory are the behavior of the children imitating their families, friends,
idols, and even movie characters. If a child saw something meaningful to them, they
will perform it at some point.

According to onlinemswprograms.com, that this theory may also apply to the workers
and students. Students may influence their fellow students, and also with the
workers. Social media has also a great influence to us people. People imitate others,
copying dance moves from a song, social media challenges, and even acting a
famous movie scenes. Positive and problematic behaviors are imitated.

Violence and aggressiveness can be imitated through observational learning. This

theory can further be used to look into how positive roles can foster be desirable
behaviors and promote social change. However, positive behaviors may also be
imitated. Whether its positive or negative, It is important to remember that to
effectively apply social learning theory principles as an intervention.
