What is the impact of social factors on homelessness?

Project Proposal
Homelessness has shaped the world in the wrong turn. From the beginning, society has been

dominated by the low class, inequality, injustice, and denial of the freedom of slaves. The

American colonies and now the United States are eager for freedom, yet it oppresses the right to

give freedom to slaves. This shaped the new curve to American history and the future. People are

eager for freedom but there lies the paradoxical history. How can we relate the idea of freedom

and independence when there are homelessness and disparities among us? Even today, this

thought of slavery lies with us. The homelessness towards a certain group of people are creating

a lot of rift and problems in society.

The primary research question of the paper is how the social factors are casting influence on the

homelessness; this is the question that has created a cloud in the society. The research is been

conducted on this topic to create awareness and deals with the prevailing problem in the society.

The upper-class people are keen to treat others as slaves and their improper action towards the

different homelessness communities damages the mindset of those people. Social factors have

impact on the homelessness and it has been faced by the people centuries ago and is still going

on. The certain form of homelessness of Native-Americans, Chinese-American, and Mexican-

American. Only the African-American is a group of minorities that faces the real homelessness

from society.  The behavior towards these people has by the dominated group have stamped the

character of the new society.

The authors are interest in studying this question because they want to know about the upcoming

situation that is affecting the society being a homeless is a very difficult situation and authors are
keen to undertake the factors that can influence the homelessness. The data used in the study is

primary data, they view literature review and take interviews of homeless people to answer their

question. Different surveys and quantities analysis is done to understand the problem. The

researcher has used the correlational, heteroscedasticity and regression to justify the result that

comes during the study. The variables include in the study are poverty, homelessness and social

factors that can impact the whole scenario of study. The homelessness has started from centuries

ago and is being increased day by day due to the judgmental and stereotypical mindset of the

people. Homelessness started upon looking at the physical differences among the people. The

native-Americans are white that arose the pride in them and they ruthlessly treat the African-

Americans. They were considered as the “Black” if they have any history related to Africa. The

oppression by the Native-Americans towards these people violates many laws and rules.

Homelessness have been increasing in developing countries, thus affecting their economic

development. The social inequalities among the different groups have taken their right to enjoy

the freedom and give rise to slavery. Many households in America keep African-American as

their maids and servants, they treat them as slaves thus taking their right to independence. The

oppression among the people regarding the raising of homelessness takes a wrong turn and is

now affecting the people (Benjamin, 2009). Since the homelessness is a long and complex

context, especially history spills the beans of past revelation. Still, homelessness is the major

issue due to the difference in caste and society inequalities. The capitalist development and

political environment in the African region give rise to slavery. This is directly related to the

context of homelessness among the people. The racism is due to the increase in the globalization

and development of science that gives more power to the native-Americans, they think

themselves as the supreme masters (Kothari, 2006). The homelessness begins with the unequal
distribution in resources, power, and rights. It also affects the different groups that are waiting

for the opportunity and it hits their beliefs and trust. Homelessness towards different group

impacts the mindset, beliefs, ideology of the people and give rise to enhancement of

discrimination among society (Luke and Archie, 2009). The physical and cultural differences

occur in society and individuals only because of homelessness and different ideological sets. It

has become so common that when a kid becomes mature, the parent is eager to tell the child

about cultural differences and whom to befriend (James 2005).

Homelessness has been increased over the last two centuries. The UN Department of Economic

and Social Affairs published in a report that there is an increase in homelessness among the

developed countries. The countries like America, China, and Russia that have the largest

economy are facing the problem of homelessness and social inequalities.   There are many

challenges faced by minorities. The world is a global village and currently, it is flooded with the

massacre and destruction of minorities, the dominant society is creating a homelessness and

inequality based on color, caste, and creed. The brutal reality of the current global scenario in

which homelessness, inequality, nepotism, disparity among the cast lead to a strong protest in

different developed countries (Antonio Guterres, 2020). Nowadays, America has faced a huge

protest over the death of African-American. The lack of opportunities and unequal distribution of

resources creates homelessness and a disorganized cycle from generation to generation.

The rich remain rich and the poor become poorer. The only one percent population of the people

is contributing to change the global economy, this increases their wealth. However, the poor only

get a quarter of the income. The main point that leads to inequality among society is the slow

growth of the economy. In a society, with huge homelessness in areas like education, health,

jobs, freedom, etc. people are likely to stick down in poverty and they don’t dare to raise the
voice for themselves. They are dependent on other people and are trapped in homelessness from

generation to generation.

The data for this paper is already displayed on homelessness and other different research paper

and was scraped from research gate by another user. It was organized into a proper dataset using

management skills and to be able to sufficiently gather information on the historical fights. At

the moment without running any analysis, I plan to use a linear regression analysis to see if

social factors have influence on homelessness. The variables are used in this study to highlight

the answer of the question and problem that is prevailing in the society and people are suffering

from it.
