Using the illustration below, create a step-by-step procedure on how wind can be used as an
alternative source of energy (20 pts)

STEP 1 Collect wind data.

STEP 2 The wind turns the blades.

STEP 3 The blades turn on the generator shafts and

creates an electricity.
STEP 4 The transformer converts the electricity into
the right amount of voltage.
STEP 5 The electricity will be transported and
distributed to electricity grid and cables.

Are you willing to invest or shift to renewable or clean energy even if it is more expensive and
requires a change of lifestyle? Explain (5pts)

If I were to choose, I will pick to shift to renewable energy because it can be used freely
without any limit, have no bills monthly and have a long-term of use of it. Using renewable
energy can also help the environment by reducing the use of fossil fuels that produce
greenhouse gas and some type of pollution. It can also reduce the electricity sector’s
emissions of energy. Since we are using wind, sun, and water current, they don’t need refuel
and have less maintenance. Using renewable energy is not only good to environment, but
also to our purses.
