Reader's Response - The Visitation of the Gods

One day a father, his friends, and a son decided to walk along the riverside. They are

observing the river to see its end. The father was expecting to see a free-falling waterfall of the

river. They continue walking while talking to one another. On the other side, the father notices

that the river ends after kilometers of walking. They feel confused about its end or a specific cut.

Suddenly, they stop and notice the river is dry. They walked again and saw another stream of the

river. This stream has full of stones and burning sand. It is why the water is not much and has

been cut. Then after how many kilometers, they found a stream with a strong water flow. It is

deeper than what they have near their vacation house. It surprised their eyes and expectation

because it was a new experience for them.

They recall the lesson they get from Bacong that rivers were not merely determined to flow

anywhere. Because every river continues to flow until it reaches the sea because it was connected,

though some circumstances might block the river from flowing, the truth is it never lost its will

and did not forfeit its mission to reach the sea. It did not lose hope and found another way to

escape the harsh obstacles by tunneling its way under its sandy bed and intelligently choosing a

more compact, lower stratum to pass through until it was visible again and flowed once more to

the great sea.
