Proposed Project Title: Speech to Emotion Recognition

Proposed Guide

Synopsis:
 Context:
Speech Emotion Recognition, abbreviated as SER, is the act of attempting to recognize human
emotion and affective states from speech. This is capitalizing on the fact that voice often reflects
underlying emotion through tone and pitch. This is also the phenomenon that animals like dogs
and horses employ to be able to understand human emotion.

 Objective:
To build a model to recognize emotion from speech using the librosa and sklearn libraries and the
RAVDESS dataset.

 Methodology:
This project will be using concepts of algorithms of machine learning (ML). This project will be
built with the language python and librosa, sound file libraries, which are part of the more
extensive scikit library used for specific applications of audio analysis.

 USED:
The overall system results how we can leverage Machine learning to obtain the ultimate
emotions from audio data and some insights on the human expression of emotion through
voice. This systems can be employed in a variety of setups like Call Centre for complaints or
marketing, in voice-based virtual assistants or chatbots, in linguistic research, etc.
